Genesis
CSIR is in the process of establishing Theme Directorates so as to bring more synergy in activities of various laboratories; to fast track translation and commercialisation of technologies; prioritize research; facilitate market access; and to disseminate technological information among stakeholders. Individual themes would include multiple laboratories and the Directorate is envisaged to initially operate in virtual mode. In order to achieve greater focus individual themes could be sub-divided into sub-themes.
