  • High power fibre amplifiers and lasers, Specialty Photonic Crystal Fibres (PCF) for supercontinuum generation and lasers, Q-switched and mode locked fibre lasers, new laser generation for biophotonic applications, Spectroscopy based optical fibre sensors

Notable Research Contribution
  • His research has primarily focussed on development of optical fibre based devices for amplifiers and lasers applications. He has worked on development of EDFA for CATV and DWDM applications with industrial collaboration. Presently he is doing work in the field of fibre ring laser/Bragg grating based cavity and designing of cladding pumped double-clad fibre and Photonic Crystal Fibre (PCF) for high power laser application. He is also engaged in fabrication of non-linear PCF for supercontinuum generation.
