Landmark Research Contribution
Developed hard coatings, antireflective (AR) and refractive index controlled coatings on plastics, metal NPs doped tunable coloured coatings, hydrophobic to super-hydrophobic coatings on glass and plastic substrates, developed BBAR on PC for application as cover glass as a replacement of solar glass in solar panel system, refractive index (1.48-1.65) controlled coatings on plastics for scratch healing purpose, corrosion resistant hard and hydrophobic coatings on metals (mild steel and aluminium, Ordered mesoporous silica coatings for optical applications.. A process entitled "Anti-scratch coatings on plastic ophthalmic lenses" has been transferred to the industries.
External Ph.D. thesis Examiner: 1 (Title: "Sol-gel synthesis and characterization of high dielectric calcium copper titanate ceramics and the effect of additives" submitted by S. JESURANI to SRM University, SRM Nagar, Kattankulathur-603 203).
