CGCRI has a reputation for excellence
and achievement in basic and applied research in a diverse area of ceramics
and advanced materials, that has application encompassing strategic as
well as societal sectors.
CGCRI conducts specialized Ph.D
programmes in various disciplines related to Materials Science and Engineering,
Ceramics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering etc. Students can carry out
their Ph.D thesis work at CGCRI, but CGCRI does not formally award the
degree. Doctoral students can register and receive their degrees from the
affiliated local Universities. |

Eligibility:
M. Sc, B. E, B. Tech (subject area: as per project requirement) with minimum
60% marks and at least two years of post M. Sc, B. E, B. Tech, research
experience as evidence from fellowship/ associateship or traineeship and
published papers in standard refereed journals
OR
M. E, M. Tech
or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology (subject area: as per project
requirement) with minimum 60% marks.

with qualifications varying from B.Sc. to doctorate and experience can
work as various levels of project assistant. Project assistant after two
years research experience and/or at least two research publications are
eligible for Ph. D. registration as per the affiliating University regulations.

Summer
Trainee
CGCRI conduct
Summer Training during June-August every year for B. E./B. Tech students
(preferably final year) of Ceramic Technology, Chemical Engg., Material
Science, Production Engg., Electronics & Instrumentation etc. Application
is generally invited during January/February every year. Names of selected
students will be listed in the website during March/April every year.
