Research Interest
  • Working on various kinds of inorganic glass, glass-ceramics and glass-composites for different applications like IR transmitting rare earth doped oxide glasses for NIR/MIR solid state lasers, rare earth/transition metal ion doped low phonon energy oxide glass/glass-ceramics for photon energy up/down conversion as luminescent concentrators for photo-voltaic applications, laser induced cooling in rare earth doped low phonon energy glasses for all solid state optical refrigerators, mid/far IR transmitting chalcogenide glasses for IR photonics and ion conducting glasses for energy storage applications.
