Testing & Calibration Cell
 
In the year 2001 CG&CRI has been awarded National Board of Laboratories (NABL) accreditation in the field of mechanical and chemical testing which ensures the international acceptability of the test report.
  • Testing & Calibration Cell has been set up to act as Single Window Clearing Unit for all testing and calibration related services.
  • Testing of raw materials & products in the field of Glass, Ceramics, Refractories and composites are being carried out as per National and International standards.
  • NABL (National Accreditation of Board of Laboratories) accredited testing facilities are available in the field of Mechanical & Chemical testing of Ceramic, Glass, Refractories and composite materials
Test Reports issued by CG&CRI for NABL accredited tests are acceptable Internationally.The confidentiality of the results and test related documents thereto are guaranteed.
The major testing programme of this Institute includes the following facilities:
  • SEM, EDAX
  • XRD
  • ICP & AAS (Chemical Analysis)
  • Optical property evaluation
  • Mechanical property evaluation of ceramic, refractory & composite materials
  • Thermal & Thermo-mechanical property evaluation of refractory materials
  • DTA, TGA & Surface Area (BET) evaluation
  • Evaluation of Dielectric properties of ceramics and glasses
