Welcome to Dr. Bidhan’s research group in the Energy Materials and Devices Division (EMDD) at CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata, India. We are working on energy conversion and storage in the area of chemistry, materials science & engineering. Our major research is focused on;

  • Topologically Fitted Porous Covalent Organic Frameworks.
  • Advanced Functional Materials for Energy conversion and storage.
  • Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Metal Halides.

Present research: We are working on the development of porous materials and hybrid systems, with a primary focus on next-generation rechargeable batteries and all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs), complemented by exploratory research on supercapacitors and photo-electrocatalytic water-splitting/fuel-cell interfaces.

  • Postdoctoral fellowship from the National University of Singapore (2022) and the Ohio State University, USA (2024).
  • Best poster award (Silver) from international conference ‘Frontiers In Materials for Technological Applications (FIMTA-2021), organized by CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar, India.
  • SERB travel grant (Government of India) to attend international conference in E-MRS spring meeting (Strasbourg, France), 2018.
  • DST fellowship-2015, Department of Science and Technology, INDIA.
