Landmark Research Contribution
Technology Development & Transfer :
- Developed Biofiltration technology and Licensed to M/s Envirochem of Trissur, Kerala, India for installation at Cochin International airport for deodorization.
- Developed Biofiltration technology for H2S removal and commercialized at Effluent treatment plant of M/s J.K. Pharmachem Limited, Cuddalore, Tamilnadu, India for odour control.
Technology Demonstration : 10000 LPCD capacity low cost CGCRI developed ceramic membrane based Ion removal plant for production of drinking water from Iron containing Brackish groundwater, integrated with brackishwater reverse osmosis plant (Combined Ceramic Microfiltration -Brackishwater reverse osmosis process, first of its kind in India)
- Best patent award for 2003-2004, awarded by Regional Research Laboratory, Trivandrum for patents obtained by the same Institute for US patent no 6696284 on Biological filter for the purification of waste gases [Certificate]
- CSIR-CGCRI Diamond Jubilee Award for Best Technology for “Ceramic membrane based high capacity modules for pretreatment of turbid water or polishing of Iron and Arsenic contaminated water using micro-filtration techniques : transferred to Porel Dass Water & Effluent Control Pvt.
