My research interests lie in two-dimensional (2D) materials, with an emphasis on engineering atomic and electronic structures to realize materials with tailored functionalities. I am particularly interested in complex systems such as quasicrystals, high-entropy oxides, 2D materials and heterostructures, including graphene and transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), as well as quantum and topological materials. By integrating precise thin-film growth with advanced characterization techniques, I aim to uncover the fundamental mechanisms governing material behaviour at reduced dimensions and to guide the design of next-generation functional materials.
