Landmark Research Contribution

 

  • Dr.Mukhopadhyay is one of the key members for the development of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) Technology at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata and demonstrated indigenously made 1 kW SOFC stack with H2 and O2/air and 500 W working stack with simulated / Reformed Natural Gas (NG) and O2/air successfully for the first time in India.
  • Development of high performance Ni-YSZ/ Ni-Cu-YSZ/ Ni-Cu-CeO2-YSZ SOFC anode by a novel electroless technique for high performance SOFC operable with simulated bio gas
  • Process engineering of multicomponent perovskite oxides for SOFC / SOEC air electrode materials (LSM, LSCF, BSCF etc) with tailor-made morphology by Spray Pyrolysis technique
  • One of the leading persons from CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata for the “Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer Cell Consortium Project” (Project targeted value: ~ 40.00 Crores) that is framed out with ARCI, Hyderabad and industries like HPCL and h2e power for effective commercialization of the Fuel Cell and Electrolyser Cell Technologies in National perspective.
