Research Interest:

Rechargeable Metal-ion Batteries, Solid State Lithium Batteries (ASSLBs), designing of  electrode materials for Lithium-ion Batteries (LIBs), Ceramic Separator (CS) for Batteries/Super Capacitors, 18650 Cell Fabrication and application of LIBs in EVs and Solar Storage, Industrial-scale production and in-situ quality control of nano-structured electrode materials (LIBs), MIEC based gas separation membrane, SOFC electrode component synthesis.

Landmark Contribution:

 Research contribution

  • Developed alternate electrode materials (LMOS and LTO based) for high performance LIBs and their process of Bulk production (Patented)
  • Developed Industrial scale process of making nano-structured LiFePO4+C and Li4Ti5O12 electrode materials (72 Tons/year capacity) for application in LIBs (Patented)
  • Developed low cost alternate paper based ceramic separator for rechargeable metal ion batteries (Patented)
  • Fabrication of 18650 cylindrical cells with developed cathode/anode in semi-automated fabrication unit.
  • Established world class electrochemical and material characterization facility in United Nanotech Products Limited

  • Development of Nano ZnO as UV protector in sunscreen for EMAMI, INDIA
  • Development of conducting coating for solar cell application for MOSSER BAER, INDIA
  • Development of nanostructured antifungal materials in exterior paints for ASIAN PAINTS, India
  • Development of High Energy Lithium-ion Power Pack for telecom Application for INDUS TOWERS, India

 Contribution in Forensic Science

  • Worked as Senior Scientific Officer (Gr-A), Chemistry Division in State Forensic Science Laboratory, Home & Hill Affairs Department, Govt. of West Bengal and established Crime-Scene Management Division (CSMD), a first-of-its-kind Mobile Forensic facility in the West Bengal.
