Research Interest

Chemistry of nanomaterials with special references to carbon nanomaterials like single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), graphene and organic photovoltaics, their synthesis, chemical functionalization and fabrication followed by characterization.

Landmark Research Contribution

  • Developed the first solution based technique to grow covalent organic framework thin films on various substrate surfaces. Proof of principle work demonstrating thin film growth of organic materials on various substrates in a very easy and cheap way. Development of graphite nanosheets based drug delivery system.
