A semi-automated apparatus has been designed and fabricated by CSIR-CGCRI which is capable of producing the developed paper-based separator in large volume in the form of rolls of 50-100 meters long of varied width for fabrication of Li-ion batteries(for example 18650 type or pouch ell). The developed product shows comparable electrochemical performance to that of commercial polymer separator.

We are working on to make cells in pilot plant level using ceramic separator, it would be useful if you could share the performance Characteristic of the developed product at Cell level if tested.

Thanks for your interest in paper based ceramic separator. The developed separator thickness currently is in the range of 60-70 micron, which we are further reducing to 25-30 micron. We can discuss in detail if you kindly provide your communication address.
