The Publication group of the institute is primarily responsible for compilation, updation and dissemination of institutional information and knowledgebase for a wide cross section of people.

 Four categories of publications are brought out:

• Regular Publications – these cover institutional bulletins that include Annual Reports, Newsletters, Research Highlights etc.
• Thematic Publications – these cover materials specially created to disseminate topical areas of focus such as patents, technologies etc that showcase institutional knowledgebase
• Occasional Publications – these special issues are intended to cover special events, conferences/seminars and also institutional brochures and booklets
• Commemorative Publications – special publications of lasting value and limited circulation.

The vertical also lends need-based miscellaneous publicity material design, photography and speech-writing support
